A Valentine’s Kiss: Select the perfect Lipstick

Hola Beauties,

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I am really excited! Apart from dress selection I have also been fussing around the makeup! I am a big time lip junkie.. A Black Eyeliner and a Lipcolor is something I would never travel without.. apart from few other things 😉

For Valentine’s day think red, pink and peach lips as you dress up at your girly/ feminine best. Lip-color is very important for your over all look and I go crazy on lip products! I have a few suggestions on lip-colors which might help you get ready for your date!

1) Best Coral Shades:

• Mac Amplified ‘Vegas Volt’:

This Lip color has been around for years now and still gets counted as one of the best coral lipsticks. Its a brightened Coral- orange lip shade with opaque and creamy-soft finish. Its highly pigmented and glides smoothly on the lips making the application easy!

• Inglot Lip Crayon Shade #11: 

This Color is deliciously Matte and may have some of you reaching out for the lip-muct conditioner before its application. It swatches really closely to Mac’s Vegas Volt and can be used a a lip-liner (All hail to attached sharpener). Neon-orange-peach shade is a proper pay off.

• Mac Crosswire lipstick:

Its a beautiful coral-pink shade which is neither too bright nor to muted and hence perfect shade! Its opaque and creme-sheen formula gives full coverage making it more suited for all skin tones.

• Chanel Melodieuse (136) Rouge Allure Lipstick:

Its a Bight Coral Red Lip color with creamy formula for a consistent lip swipe. It gives your lips soft fuller coverage and perfect pop-pout for valentines!

2) Best Pink Shades: 

• Mac Please Me Lipstick:

This one is a very faint pretty pink cream based lipstick. The color is such a pleasant pink that you indeed feel pleased with this lipstick on. A very subtle color to flaunt with full coverage and semi matte finish.

• Mac Amplified Impassioned: 

Its a nearly neon pink-red color with a amplified creme finish. Its opaque and gives a good consistency around the lips.

• Mac Amplified Girl About Town Lipstick:

Its a medium-dark fuchsia pink color with creme based finish. It has also been one of my favourites over the years since I always get complements post its application! Its Application is smooth and easy along with plus plus for the stay time on lips! (Must Try Lip color)

• Mac Candy Yum Yum Lipstick:

I don’t know if its the catchy names or the results yielded that really attracts me towards MAC. The price paid for the range of colors offered is fairly decent and the stay time on lips is a bonus in the end. Anyways, back to the topic, Candy Yum Yum is a ‘Bright Barbie Pink’ with matte finish. Its a neon yummy pink with good stay time on the lips.

• Inglot Freedom Palette System 70:

This is beautiful budget friendly light pink shade that glides on your lips being a creme based. Its a very subtly pink and the color lies somewhere between Mac’s Please me and Mac’s Playtime by So-Supreme collection. The Only negative is stay time for this lip color.

•  YSL Rouge Pur Couture 7 (Le Fuchsia):

Its a bright fuchsia pink color which looks either fuchsia red or fuchsia pink depending on your face undertones. Its a highly pigmented color with a strong stay time!

3) Best Red Shades:

• Mac Riri Woo Lipstick:

This was one of the fastest selling MAC lipsticks and was reintroduced as the permanent line with Retro Matte Collection. Its a cool retro matte medium- dark red shade. Its very similar to Mac’s best selling Ruby woo with slightly better formula. Its a very matte lipstick which requires a conditioner underneath to work with. Its incredibly pigmented but very difficult to get on the lips evenly given to its drier matte application. Apart from slight drying over time its an amazing red lipstick with incredible stay time.

• Mac Dangerous Lipstick:

Its my personal red favourite for its an absolute perfection! Its a part of Mac’s retro matte permanent range with the same formula as Riri Woo. This is slightly more warmer than Riri woo with more orange-red color pay off. Its the perfect red orange lipstick for it is not as orange as Lady Danger nor is it a proper red. It lies between which is perfect for me. Its slightly less drier than Riri Woo and the stay time is the same.

• YSL Rouge Pur Corture (Le Rouge) 01: 

Its a perfect red lipstick which works on warm, cool or neutral undertone. This beauty is Semi Matte and Creme based making the application easy. It has a powerful stay time for a red lipstick and survives through the meals.

• Chanel Coromandel (98) Rouge Allure Lipstick:

This is a warm orange- red tone lipstick with fuller coverage. The pigmentation is really good with natural satin-sheen finish.
