The first Red Lipstick is always special as you spend considerable amount of time and money looking for the right match. My True Red obsession started with Makeup Forever’s Rouge artist Intense Lipstick: Moulin Rouge (43) which, to my dismay, went missing a few months back.
Sometimes cleaning up your room can lead to long lost pals you tucked safely in a treasure box hidden in the dark corners of you room! I was lucky enough to get hold of this red for its my first true love..

Mac recently released limited edition Maleficent collection which had a true red lip color: True Love’s kiss. I really wanted to compare these two for I love them both equally!

Personal Take on the Lipsticks:
As you can see Moulin Rouge is a Bright Red Lip color (Slight Orange) with Satin finish and True Love’s Kiss is a Medium Red (Ruby Red) lip color with soft sheen and very slight shimmer. True Love’s kiss is slightly more wetter and creamy than Moulin Rouge. However, in terms of application both the lipsticks are magnificent, they glide through your lips…
Moulin Rogue is priced at nearly 1600/- (Prices might have changed now) for 0.12oz and True Love’s kiss is priced at 1390/- for 0.10 oz. I love the way True Love’s kiss has the typical Mac’s Vanilla Essence whereas Moulin Rouge has no scent expect the typical Lipstick smell.
In terms of color pay-off both of them lasted for nearly 5-6 hours on the lips leaving a stain behind as they fade off, however, I felt Moulin Rogue had a slight better stay time than True Love’s Kiss. If you are having food or enjoying your beverage you will have to touch up the lip colors.
